I ordered a new Charles Daly Hi power 2 weeks ago and picked it up this past Thursday. I got it home and cleaned it from the grease on it from the plastic bag and checked it over. Looking at the muzzle, slide, sights, frame , fit etc. looked at the internals after taking it apart-- barrel spring, guide, inside of frame and parts and slide and all. I was very impressed! The insides was very slim regardling tooling marks and machining. It is far above a FEG PJK 9HP I have currently in regards to machining and tooling marks. The fit and finish is beautiful and best fit or at least as good as any other HI Power Ive owned. I also believe better the only Colt 1911 that I owned. Its very tight with no slop or excessive play. Action is smoothe and the trigger was a huge surprise as I expected the regular Hi power trigger and got one that Is smoother and lighter than one that has been worked and the mag disconnect safety removed. Im so pleased Im leaving it in. Charles Daly really impressed me with this Hi Power. Im looking forward to buying another just like it.

Congrats, I Own an FEG and an Argentine FM M-95 and I love them both. Next on the list is are 1911/A1's but a Browning HP is not far behind, for some reason I fell into the HP trap.

That's good to hear. I examined one when they were introduced, and they were quite bad. I'm glad they're shaping up.
