That color should be reserved for flare guns and pool floats.

soon as I saw that photo my reaction was basically: well if you're gonna have bright green grips, you could take it one further and cerakote/duracoat the gun in screamin blaze orange! 
it'd certainly get some looks at the range! x-) (honestly I would actually do something like that).
If I saw those green grips at the range, it wouldn't make me think 'zombies', they'd just make me think you like guns and have a sense of humor, or generally obnoxious taste like me, I like wearing plaid and paisley at the same time
This goes without saying of course, but don't leave it where kids could find it and 'play' with it

Oddly enough, Dr. Rob, i have that same uneasy feeling. Especially when i see the blaze orange grips for 'survival kit' revolvers... anything with hi-viz colors like that has always been for flare pistols or less-lethal 'riot' weapons... an indicator never to put live ammo in them. rationally, i know that it's more dangerous to put black furniture on a DF/LTL than to put hi-viz on a real gun, but blurring the distinction gives me the willies. Also, they're still just plain ugly.
