I just purchased a Kahr PM.40 as a primary concealed carry weapon. I've cleaned / oiled / lubed it thoroughly. The manufacturer has suggested 200 rounds through it before it is reliable, which I plan to do this week. Any other suggestions?

I would do 100rds and clean followed by another 100 rds and another clean. Kahrs tend to be a little more tight than other autos so keeping them clean is a good idea. I would also think about polishing the feedramp and chamber. I do this on all my Karhs because they tend to be tight and a mirror polish helps them feed better. Many Kahrs won't feed CCI Blazer ammo but after a polish, they all have fed them in my experience.

Also, after the 200rds, you will want to really clean the trigger area. Just spray some gun scrubber in there followed by some oil once it has dried. I had a Kahr E-9 that had a not so great trigger but I found out it was just bone dry and after a little lube, it felt much better. For some reason, Kahr triggers need oil. I have never really had to worry about it before because the oil always seemed to find it's way to the triggers on my other guns.
