For those interested, beginning July 1 Kansas law will change to provide that there will no longer be any criminal penalty for holders of a valid carry permit to enter a building posted with the "no guns" sign in use here while carrying concealed. Up to now this has been a criminal offense (misdemeanor) with a $50 fine. The owners of a posted building can ask you to leave if they discover you are carrying and then you must, but passing the sign is no longer a criminal offense in itself.
There are a lot of other changes beginning July 1 (I'd say all pro-carry) so if you're coming here with a recognized carry permit you may want to check our attorney general's website.
