New Knife

Met the owners of Shadow Tech knives at a local show. We decided to do a trade, the result was a new knife made as I requested with CTS-HXP steel and a spalted cocobolo grip. The steel is a fairly high end, very hard stainless (59-61). Also included was a multi position kydex sheath.

More a tool than a work of art, but I think it will perform well. Going in the mail tomorrow to my son in HI where local conditions require a good corrosion resistant steel.

Reminds me of an Anza.

CTS-XHP is good steel. You can think of it as corrosion-resistant tool steel. Not the most rust resistant knife steel around, but an extremely good knife steel for strong, sharp knives.
