New M&P 9mm failure.

I bought my M&P 9C about 2 years ago and I've fired THOUSANDS of trouble free rounds through it. It is a superb pistol. Yours may have a tight chamber or a bad extractor. That stuff happens. This weekend I was on the range with a guy who had a brand new Armalite 9mm. Sweet pistol BUT it shot about 12 inches low at 23 yards. He needs to send it back to Armalite. I wouldn't say they are junk or condemn the company because of it.

Send it back, they'll fix it. I'm more concerned about thier issues with dryfiring. It's still a good gun. Don't worry 'bout barrel rumors.

Never, ever, judge a pistol by what police and mil types have to say. It's very political. They have problems with every type of gun they get their hands on and are constantly droping brands to keep that warm fuzzy feeling.

PD's have had trouble with Glock, SW, Springy, 1911's, Berrettas, Sig, HK etc....
Every type of pistol you can imagine has been dropped by a PD at one point or another.

Give SW a chance to fix it. It's a fine gun.

Thats a pretty strong statement. What inside knowledge do you have that suggests that the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. pulled the M&P for political reasons. Do you have specific knowledge or are you just sharing a personal opinion?
