New member from NC checking in

I'm old, I'm retired and I keep busy with old house upkeep, modest vegetable garden and of course shooting.

My wife and I spend a day at the range at least every other week.

My true love is old military guns but I love all (or most) guns

I'm looking forward to getting the lay of the land here, thanks for letting me join.

Welcome! You have joined one of the more civilized firearm forums around. There is a wealth of information here, from reloading to general gun discussions to legal aspects of gun ownership and how to preserve these rights. What you won't find is a lot of politics, which is tricky when we are talking about the right to keep and bear arms and dealing with those that want to restrict that right.

Yeah, :) civilized is something I'm interested in, in a guncentric forum.

I have experience with others.

Thanks for the welcome

Hey there, new member from PA.

I've read this forum quite a bit. I'm an army veteran who is a big fan of SKSes.

I'm moving out to the country and would like to eventually sell some of my rifles through here. I had a friend make a purchase a long time ago through here and it went really smoothly. I'm not able to post in the trading post yet, so let me know what I have to do to prove I'm not some clown who is going to mess up your community's reputation.

Hello, @DeerPark and welcome to THR. There is always room around the fire. The rules which have you stymied are there for just that purpose, because there are those whose only interest is selling or scamming, and we are not here for their convenience. If you had participated when you found us earlier, you would likely have qualified by now. The idea is to know who we are dealing with, and the only way that happens is by participation in the discussion. Once we know you better through your interaction, the trading post will become available.

Welcome, MSW2 ! I recognize the skorpion, but we do not see many Vektors around these days. Thank you for the introduction, and we look forward to your participation. We try to keep things friendly here, so please check out the THR Primer when you can. And I hope you will give us a user report on those firearms when you've had some trigger time with them.

Welcome, Chris, and thank you for checking in. There should be should be help in the Handloading section, and we try to resist the forces that seem to make some communities toxic. Glad to have you on board.

Welcome, Eutycus. You see to be hitting the ground running, so I hope you will enjoy your time here and hope you will check out the THR Primer, also in the general gun discussions space. Thanks for checking in!
