Hey guys I have ordered a new mk9. Should be here soon. Now in order to carry this little gun I need a holster. Not a real big fan of iwb carry so I am looking at other options. Any one own something of interest or know of something. I will look at iwb if any one can tell me how to keep my pants from falling off in the Texas heat!!! I know my middle section is part of the problem!Anyway I was just wondering if any of you had any suggestions other than losing some weight! Thanks

Maybe a small-of-the-back holster would be up your alley. It's usually owb.

A cheapo's (read: "my") route is to buy an owb holster for the weak side, and just wear it sob.

I prefer sob when I'm going concealed for comfort. Takes some practice for the correct draw, but it's very comfortable. A Fobus Roto holster would be a good place to start, so you can find the right angle to start practicing at. Not sure I'd daily carry a Roto Fobus, but it's good for practice.

Exchange it promptly for PM9 - much lighter. Or lighter still, a S&W 342. :D

On a more serious note, I got in new PM9 last week. Loaded with 6+1, it goes at 19.4 ounces.

I ordered Bianchi Pro 100 IWB holster for PM9. Being persnikity and hoping to carry shortly on draw string shorts, I took the holster to leather shop last Friday to get steel clip elevated another 1/2" so rig will seat deeper at 4:00 - and not gouge skinny boy's ribs. YMMV.

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies guys. Pocket carry is probablt going to be my main carry looks like. Thanks for the heads up on the hedley site!!!

I use a pocket holster from Rusty Sherrick when I carry my MK9. If you are going to carry IWB, you could easily carry a larger gun than an MK9 (e.g., K9 or larger). For me, IWB carry of an MK9 kinda defeats the purpose of the gun.
