Hey wheelmen :)

Just bought one of the new model Super Blackhawks that has the same frame as the standard BH, I believe. Anyone else have one and can link a holster the sharp edged front sight won't wreck?

Rather than a western rig, it might need a front sight channel like auto holsters? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Ii use a Mitch Rosen "Sport" for all my Ruger SA revolvers (and my other handguns too) it's a strong side belt-slide with a fairly straight positioning of the gun. I use it hunting and hiking and never have had any problems with retention. Also, I've never had any problems with the front sight catching. His products may cost a bit more but in my opinion they're well worth it. You get what you pay for

I bought the holster for my SBH out of the Cabelas catalog. It is made by Triple K. And it was very inexpensive. Surpisingly, it is a very well made, leather holster that leaves nothing to be desired. Now, it is a full flap holster; I don't know if that appeals to you or not, but it was exactly what I was looking for. I am not going to be doing any fast draw competitions with my 7 1/2" SBH, so I wanted a holster that would protect the gun as much as possible. It is a terrific field holster and has accompnied me on hunts in several different states. I liked it so much that I went to a leather guy here in town and had him make me a small versions of the same holster for my Single Six. I am not a penny pincher, I would have paid three times the money for this same holster if I had seen on for that price first.
