Hi guys! Been a while since I posted here.
Anyway, check out this LGS find.

Colt MK IV Series 80 Enhanced in .38 Super
At just $650 I couldn't be happier with it. :D

Very, very nice; and an absolute steal at that price. Lots o' gun for the money.

Last fall, I picked up an Enhanced Series 80, in .38 Super, NIB. And I thought I stole it for $800. Shoots like a dream.

Couldn't find any ammo locally though, and the nearest range doesn't stock it either.

Probably going to be a couple of weeks before I get to shoot it, but I couldn't pass it up.

I looked online, of course, but most places are either sold out (of the cheaper brands anyway) and/or the shipping is outrageous.

Oddly enough, Gander Mountain seems like my best bet. Remington UMC is a bit more expensive than most places at $30, but it ships free to a store and there's one just down the road from me.

I am not as knowledgeable as some on this forum. What is the "Enhanced" part of the package?

The enhanced line was introduced in 1992 as the premium counterpart to Colt's budget 1991A1 line and really only existed in the 90s until it was replaced with the XS and XSE line.

It has a flat raised rib on the top of the slide, more aggressive slanted cocking serrations, 3-dot sights, undercut trigger guard, skeletonized rowel hammer, duck bill extended grip safety tang, beveled magazine well, and usually came standard with Pachmayr wrap-around grips.

While the enhancements are pretty tame by today's standards (in fact, most new guns come with them off the shelf) they weren't AS common in 1992 and definitely not on stock guns.

Thank you, I could not see any of those enhancements in the photo.
