Here's my new Colt Gold Cup Trophy!

Grips are from knifemaker7 on eBay - he does great work and very reasonable.


Took it out to the range yesterday, all I can say is it's a lot more accurate than I am. What a great shooter, and the trigger is a joy.

My wife is out of town for the next 4 weeks, so I plan to spend (a lot of) time getting used to it :)
 
Thats a very nice pistol, congratulations! I have to say although I like my Springfields, Colt is still by far my favorite brand of firearms.

EDIT:
Thats is some fine photography work there too!

Nice looking gun. Like those grips; look great with the stainless Gold Cup. Don't know what ammo you're using, but I've found my accurized Colts seemed to prefer 185 gr. SWC target loads. Enjoy.
 
I'm sure SWC target loads would make it happier - but since they cost so *#$& much, I changed out the spring for the 16 lb version and am shooting FMJ through it, at least while I break it in. If I ever decide to compete, I'll switch to SWC.

Dale - thanks! Photography is one of my other passions - as long as I carry the camera and the gun at the same time, the tactical photographer's vest won't look out of place ;)
