I have my new rifle on order, a SIA Enfield conversion to 7.62 x 39! I plan on using only brass, reload-able , ammunition. So far I have the below listed ammo on hand.

Winchester White Box
Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics
Prvi Partizan

All are 123 grain, full metal jacket. I have several boxes of each.

I'm thinking of picking up some Sellier & Bellot next.

I don't like to spend much over $10 a box of 20.

Does anyone have any suggestions for my new rifle?

Buy some non-corrosive surplus ammo . That will save the most money. Then if hunting comes along you will still have to try a few sp brands to what what your rifle shoots well enought to use.

Non corrosive surplus Soviet ammo? Where?! Seriously Where; if it's really out there like you say, I'll Cash For Gold my wedding ring right now and dump a tsunami hurricane explosion of legal tender into that store's cash register.

Steel cased commercial ammo (I hate it when folks refer to thus stuff as SURPLUS) from Russia is all non corrosive.

I believe academy still sells monarch (barnual) for $5 a box.

Beware of anything Chinese claiming to be non corrosive

I'd LOVE to buy surplus, non corrosive ammo is such a mythical creature were widely available in the US. However, it is not, and hasn't been for years. Sure, you can buy russian steel cased ammo, but that doesnt mean its "surplus"

Of the three cartridges mentioned, Fiocchi shoots the best groups in my CZ 527 with Priv and Winchester white box coming in 2nd and 3rd. I have some S&B but have not tried it out yet.

The brass for reloading from the above is excellent quality.

I reload for my mini30 on occasion pick up some MFS2000 from Cabelas when on sale its accurate in my Mini and is re loadable. It's Hungarian made and appears to be good quality.

I reload range pickup brass, so far it has been Winchester or Peters. Never any problems. I was shooting it out of a Rugeer 77 in 7.62X39 but the rifle if up for sale at my gunsmiths facility. It now goes out of a Saiga, a SKS or Arsenal SAM 7S along with the Russian steel case ammo. The Russian stuff shoots just as good as the handloads.
