any cheap 7.62 x 39 out there?

Having a tuff time finding cheap ammo for my SKS's...

Can anyone point me to an online source for cheap 7.62 x 39 ammo, bulk or by the box.

Define "cheap". I don't believe that you are going to find anything under $100-120/1000 + shipping. And that's likely to be backordered.

I use to buy Wolf for $98/1000. Look around, you should be able to find some for sub$100.

"Used to" being the operative term.

Cabela's is currently $124.99/1000 for Wolf 122 gr. FMJ and backordered. Sportsmans Guide is $119.97 for same and backordered, est. ship date May 29. Ammoman is $149 (shipped) for same - 2 cases limit - and backordered. Aim Surplus is out. SOG is out. Dan's Ammo is out. CIA is out. And it goes on.

Cabela's seems to be shipping backorders faster than anyone else currently.

I was at the big Dallas gun show....

this past weekend and 7.62x39 was running 4.50 a box and most tables that had it were limiting you to 10 boxes. I saw one table that had 500 round boxes for 100 bucks.........no 545x39 at all.....chris3

I don't understand this

If you can't find cheap ammo for your sks/ak, find something else to shoot. I have. At $115 /1000 for m193, I've been shooting my Daewoo alot (SKS has been collecting dust for a year).
