Savage 110 trail Hunter I think this is a great option put together by savage and Hougue sic I personally want one in 350
Legend! Can’t wait to get my hands on one but yes I think this is a winner!

That's interesting. Looks like their old Hog Hunter in more available calibers with a Hogue stock and no iron sights.

The Gen 1 Hog Hunters were blind mag and the Gen 2 were detachable, if I'm not mistaken.

Does it come in any hunting calibers?

Huh the prc's only hold 2 rounds,

The Savage rifles in the WSM cartridges were 2+1. You could load 3 in the mag but couldn't top off the chamber for 3+1. The bolt wouldn't close with 3 in the mag, had to push the top round in the chamber to close the bolt with 3. Anything with a cartridge larger in diameter than 300 WM will only hold 2, at least with Savage. Just a quirk of the rifles.

They don't list weights on most of the cartridges, but the ones I'd be interested in are 8 lbs +. Once scoped a 6.5CM is going to be pushing 10 lbs. Lots of people like Hogue stocks, but they are about double the weight of other synthetic stocks. That 8 lbs+ naked is at about a pound to 1 1/2 pound heavier than any of my other bolt rifles with scopes and mounts.

Nothing wrong with a heavier rifle, they fill a role. That is OK for even a light Varmint rifle, but not what I think of when one is advertised as a "Trail Hunter".

It looks good and I'm sure a lot of people will buy them and like them. Just don't expect a lightweight mountain hunting rifle. The Ruger Americans run about 2 lbs lighter with the same features.

I know that Savage blue prints the barrels to the chamber face at the factory (No need for the aftermarket service) on some of thier guns, not sure about thjs model.
