A lot will depend on when it was made. If it's a newer one (580-xxxxx>) it will bring more. If older(181-xxxxx<) not so much in demand.

With that skinny olive oil of a barrel it has to be a older one. Sell it, accuracy is crap with that particular barrel. New models have a much thicker barrel, just check out my review on the muzzle brake I did. Ten shot groups too, not some panzy 3 shot groups. I also didn't really wait for the barrel to cool down much either. Most 10 shot groups out of the pencil barrel mini's are 6 to, well infinity. It will however probably be one tough gun, mini's are well made. They also are hard to get a jam or other stopage as long as good magazines are used.

I would take it to the range and see what kind of groups you get first though. Any less than 2 to 3 MOA is unacceptable at least to me. 62 grain bullets are the most accurate out of mine by the way. Just have fun, if it is terrible with accuracy dump it off on the next guy. Unless it is a prototype or something sell it, keep some original mags and get a new one with better accuracy. Or get a bargain AR with some of the money. You can build a Palmetto State Armory AR for what most local shops are asking for Mini's($800 and up, I know crazy right?) and have something that will shoot close to or MOA right out of the box.

Shoot it first, barrel quality varied greatly since Ruger outsourced them until recently. My fathers and my mini were both 1991 and consistently hold about 4MOA even when the barrel heats up.

took it to a gun dealer today, apparently its had some work done to it, including a trigger job of some kind, was promply offered 500 cash for it, I think Im gonna shoot before I toss it away, it may be a decent weapon

It depends on the quality of the scope and the magazines. New Ruger factory 30 round mags are selling for $40-$50 each. If they are aftermarket mags, and if the scope is a cheap one then I'd jump all over $500. If the magazines are factory and with a decent scope then $500 is probably too low.

If you want to keep it then buy a strut, they really help to increase accuracy.

3 of the magazines are ruger 20 rounders, 1 is a metal no-name, scope is a leupold, doesnt have a model on it, but it appears to be an older VX2 with a mag adjust of 2 to 7.5
