New rifle

Just purchased a savage scout in .308. It's just to have for our upcoming urban upheaval. Don't want to use my savage model99E in .308. Any one have any feedback on this rifle. I'm sort of a savage fan.

I was on the fence for quite some time when considering their scout. I wanted it, but after much research went with a traditional Savage rifle. Do you plan on putting an optic on it in the scout configuration?

Why not? Lots of folks do, there is no shortage of them in the woods. Great rifles!

hi guys, hanzo581, i would like to put a vortex crossfire II scout on it in the future.
stiab, the 99E is the 1st rifle i bought at 15 in mich. i'm 64. it's a safe queen now. take her to the range once a year just so she doesn't forget how to act.
