I was sitting around with not much to do and it was pointed out to me that it is support local small business day. So, I got my 16 year old son and his buddy away from the video games and we went down and bought a basic wood stock, blued 10/22. Grabbed a Ruger 25 round mag since they had those in stock as well.

I have done my good deed for the day. :D

Have fun with that. 10/22's are a great choice. I put an inexpensive scope, Butler Creek folding stock, heat shield, flash suppressor, extended mag release and 30rd mag on my blue 10/22

Love my 10/22 . One thing I really like is all the different ways you can dress them up. I have the original wood stock safely put away, a drop dead beauitful laminated thumb hole stock (dinged all up but we won't go there still hang my head on this), have one of the ATI folding stock and last week I picked up the Bull pup stock along with a 50rd mag. Next on the list if stock for the M1 Carbine then I think I will leave it alone. Enjoy the Ruger and be warned that it can cause grins all over the face.

Get a few more of the 25 round mags and a cheap 4x scope and you're set. Most utilitarian package ever. The fun:cost ratio cannot be beat.

Awesome Job. You have a fun little rifle to play with. I love 10/22's; they are fun accurate, and reliable.

Enjoy!
