I figured I'd take some time to share the two new Ruger revolvers I've picked up in the past month - a 5.5" 357 Mag Redhawk, and a .454 Casull Super Redhawk Alaskan.
The Redhawk is currently fitted with some Hogue Goncalo Alves Monogrips that I sanded and filed to fit my hand better, as well as refinished it with some Watco Black Walnut Danish Oil; I hated the yellow hue they had when I received them.
The SRH Alaskan is currently stock - I'm looking for wood grips for it. Might go with the Ruger rubbers w/ wooden panel inserts if I can't find any full wood grips that I like.
Getting a bit tired of Hogue Monogrips though, and I'd like to find some wood grips that match the silver laminate stocks on my Marlin 1895 XLR.
