Looks like ruger.com has a new commander length 1911, a SR45 as well as a couple other new toys... I'm liking the 1911, still waiting on my full size model, though. I wonder what this will do to the already overwhelmed production lines?

Good Luck.

Ruger is notorious for cataloging new guns months and even over a year before they reach the distributors. I have problems buying a standard 10/22 wholesale. A 1911 would be impossible for me.

Ok...so it is Ruger's take on the 1911...the SR1911 is now available in a commander-size...thanks for the help, Maddy, the point was almost lost...

They also have an LC380 now, which seems kind of silly. Same size & weight (plus safeties) of the LC9, but in a .380.

Before this mass panic hit, the regular SR1911 was actually starting to show up a little more often. I'm sure this new version will sell like crazy though.

I agree on the LC380. I love my LCP but if I'm going to carry a gun the exact same size as the LC9 I see no reason to go with the weaker cartridge.

I was still kinda hoping on a 5" barreled SR9. Oh well, maybe next year.

Great, another SR1911 made of unobtainium!

no kidding. I actually thought I still had a chance at getting mine for $580 from the dealer...I hope but highly doubt he'll stick to that price now

I'm interested in the SR45. I've been dead set on an M&P 45, but this may change my mind.

Hopefully I can still buy one when I get the funds together.
