I haven't had a full sized SAK in many years. For jobs around the place when not carrying a multi-tool or a knife only this may come in handy.
It's the Farmer. Weighs about the same as my Spyderco Native.

Here it is with a 4Sevens Preon ReVO 1XAAA LED light, stainless carabiner and my Seecamp .380. Thought they all looked good together for an EDC pose.

The Alox Farmer is my best bushcraft knife. It lives in my pack and gets a lot of use. In this country of strange knife laws it does everything I could ask of it and still remains legal.
Good choice sir!

The Farmer is very popular. If you like a larger size, there are 111 mm models with the saw blade and the same configuration. No alox though in that size.

A SAK is a good knife to carry around for general purpose use. I carry one everyday.

I've been carrying a Farmer since I put my Soldier away for sentimental reasons. I do like the saw.

My demo knife was my camping/hiking go to knife for years till I got the farmer

While I currently do not have either a Vic Farmer or Soldier, these are two knives everyone should have, in my opinion, and also based on life experiences.

Often overlooked or not mentioned is the awl these both have. While the saw is important, that awl has sure come in handy for me, numerous times.

I've actually managed to dull the point of the awl on my Pioneer because it's been used so much. Also, the awl makes the best scraper for a ferrocerium "fire steel" that I've yet tried. It has a good, acute edge and the knife makes a good handle for it.

"It's Steve's fault I have a Soldier.

Thanks, Steve!"

Yeah, it's also Steve's fault that I have a Farmer and an ever growing collection of Case Peanuts, plus the yellow CV one that I never leave the house without!

Thanks Steve!:)

I have to stop hanging around you guys. Next thing you know hso is going to convince to buy "investment" grade knives instead of the return of the Greek Drachma.
