After looking at some Youtube reviews (NutnFancy, etc) and reading some others, I decided to go and take a look at one. There were two options black and OD Green, I was tempted by the OD Green but decided to stick with the black rifle look. Price was $420 out the door.

Haven't shot it yet, but fit and finish is great quality. Rifle is an exact copy of the 556 except for the caliber. I bought a couple Black Dog .22 mags in USGI grey, to me they look better than the smoke ones. Mounted scope is a Bushnell Dusk/Dawn 3-9x.

I am glad I took the time in buying a "tactical" .22lr, the Sig is more appealing and (to me) more exotic than the GSG-5, Colt Umarex, and M&P22. From all the reviews read, this thing eats every brand of .22lr, even the cheap bulk pack Remingtons.

Range report coming soon...

I want one for a training tool, its cheaper than shooting my Sig556.

But Sig needs to change the name so I can get one in CT, since Sig5XX rifles are so badass liberals wet their panties at the mear sight of them in this state.:D

I'll probably end up with a GSG AK since Sig is dragging their feet.

399 from ajc sports, in clute Texas. they do totally rock; now because it is SIG , the tolerances are pretty tight, so you may wanna lube around the bolt a bit, with some nice thin electronic oil, and then run a few hundred rounds of , oh, Aguila hi speed copper wash solids, or it may take some american eagle, hi speed copper washed- but they are hollow points only, but a pretty small hole, and nicely rounded.
But everything else, is SIG all the way, great made rifle, all the bells and whistles, worth every penny, and better than all the rest of the ar/22 wannabeez...

Is it tough to clean? Seems all these new ar plinkers are a real pain to clean properly.

The GSG-5 bcg is/was a nightmare to clean...so much so, it was the driving force behind selling the one I had.

I have one and like it. I did have to send it to the factory for a new bolt but now it fires CCI, Winchester and Federal with no issues.

It has a Lifetime Warranty and they will take care of you.

It uses Black Dog magazines which are the best in the business and can be had in 10,15,25,50 round sizes and they all work!

The stock is a little wobbly but I took care of that by putting some black gripping drawer liner in 3 strategic places. It is now tight and no permanet changes have been made.

It is a winner. I would have the S&W but its proprietary mags turned me off.

One complaint I have so far after taking it down for cleaning is the folding stock. It's hard to snap into the prong on the side of the rifle. When I finally got it to close fully, opened it back and the piece stayed stuck on and came out of the stock. I had to take a pair of pliers (taped of course) to pull it off and snap back into the stock.

Other than that so far so good. I have to get through this work week and then I will sight it in and ammo test on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
