New Squirrel gun

Finally got it refinished and shots great.
It’s a Marathon .32 BP rifle.
Uses 9grn 3f and a .283 PRB.
It’s definitely not a muzzle loader you see everyday(loads from the muzzle and caps inline with the bolt).

Here is my short range squirrel gun. It's a home made .22 caliber gun that shoots 30 grain lead pellets using 5 grains of 4f. I get dime sized groups at 25 yards.

Those are cool, I think they came both finished and in kit form. What size/kind of cap does it use?

Mine uses a regular #11 cap

Same with mine. I drilled and tapped an old .22 barrel for a drum and nipple arrangement and fitted the gun with an old percussion side lock I had hanging around in my parts bin.

I built a mini Ferguson type rifle from a 10 22 barrel and an old Jukar percussion lock. I use either plastic ring caps or #11 caps. It's fun.

I have a cva squirrel rifle in .32 that I built from a kit.
Great fun.

I only have a .,350 side Hammer, ! I was so disappointed it didn't take .375 balls ! I cannot imagine getting .283 muzzleloader projos !

Needs a prettier stock. Keep the original, but a nicer stock that is less blocky.

TOTW actually sells them, with a .015 spit patch, loads fairly easily.(for about 3 shots).

Found the full size Marathon .32BP rifle, now with both models of the same caliber rifle(that were only produced for 3 years), I’m happy.
The collection is complete.

Wow, I almost didn't click on the thread when I saw "inline" in the preview.

Glad I did, those are cool. Yeah, wish they had one in .380" to take a .375" ball. I like how they look like old .22 caliber "boys rifles".

I've been wanting a small caliber ML rifle, around 35-38 caliber. I have a .38 caliber family heirloom from around 1846, which I do shoot sometimes and have taken all day woods roaming, but I have to be so careful with it that I really need something else.
