I have had all I can take with the sloppy, noisey Tapco stock on my rifle. It is time for an upgrade. I am looking for advise on what to get. Right now I really like the Magpul CTR. I understand it was designed specifically not to rattle and make noise. Plus, at around 100 bucks, it really sounds good to me. Does anyone have experience with the Magpul CTR? Or would anybody recommend something different?

The new Magpul UBR isn't available yet and certainly not at the pricepoint mentioned ($100). I think it would be hard to go wrong with the Magpul CTR. I have a M93 myself and several of their other products and have always been impressed by their innovation and customer service.

I like simple, and as a result I have an A1 stock on most of my AR's. I do have a Command Arms adjustable on one of my carbines, and so far it's been OK. Doesn't rattle around, has a bunch of quick-detach sling points, etc.

I'm very pleased with my LMT SOPMOD, and have a second one on the way. It requires a mil-spec extension tube (LMT, COLT, or VLTOR are the three that I'm aware of, so if your tube didn't come from one of those three, you would probably need a new one.)

The TAPCO on my AK and on my wife's Bushmaster are both fairly tight. Neither one is sloppy or noisy. TAPCO might replace it for you if you ask.

aww nuts thought it finally was. Any word on price?

I've heard it will be in the same price range as the M93 series of stock, so around $200 for the UBR. The release date is currently scheduled for 9/15.

Magpul
I have a couple 93B's and they are the poop
The LMT SOPMOD is nice, but not as nice as the 93B
the new Magpul one looks pretty sweet too.

I like my CTR. Use it on my AR once or twice but I really like it on my 870.

I might buy Duo if I was wearing body armor.

The Magpul has really impressed me. I'm debating whether to but the CTR, or wait for the UBR - UBR is priced at $254 MSRP, but I believe that includes the buffer tube. The CTR comes in two versions - one for milspec tubes and one for commercial.

In Either case, I'll be getting rid of my Ace. They are OK, but I's going to a more 'correct' M-forgery.
