I recently bought a converted Saiga .223. It came with a 10 round Saiga magazine. After looking at the magazine options, including installing a bullet guide, I was not confident in my ability to install the bullet guide, even though I'm aware it's not supposed to be a difficult installation. Instead, I decided to try out the Surefire/Saiga 30 round mag. I ordered mine from Carolina Shooters supply on Wednesday afternoon and it was in my mailbox Friday afternoon. Thanks Carolina Shooters Supply for your very prompt delivery!!

The magazine is made in the USA, polymer and tank-tough. I took it out today and put ~200 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever. It fed very reliably and smoothly. I'm very pleased and would recommend both the magazine and Carolina Shooters Supply for those that are reluctant to go the bullet guide route. In fact, I ordered a second mag from CSS today.

Hey guys, I have another Saiga .223 and I am interested in purchasing this kit.

I have a couple of questions that maybe you may be able to answer....

1 - If I get this kit, can I add a forearm later? The next kit up in line has the forearm but it is out of my price range right now.

2 - Will my 5 round magazine work with this kit. I also do not have the doh for the magazine but I really want to get the conversion kit as it will take me weeks to do this project as I do not want to frig it up so I will need to look at it, walk away... watch youtube video's, etc...

Thanks!
