im not a huge knife guy, i carry a pocket knife or two, and keep a larger fixed blade buck in the van. but its not a hobby for me.

however, i found a machete (the webite here states sword. but the site i purchased it from states machete, and it looks like a machete to me) that i couldnt resist.

im not one to go for tactical looking. im not into ninja looking either. but for some reason i just fell in love with this. the brand is unknown, so it may or may not be good quality. its 440 stainless is all i know.

but im pretty stoked on it. i just like the way it looks. and i normally dont buy something just for looks. but i couldnt resist!

here is a link to a site with a photo of it. the website i purchased it from didnt have a photo availible anymore for some reason.

paying $15 before shipping. i ordered a couple other things with it, and shipping is $13 total. thought i would share!

i was going to just post the photo, but i think i remember this site not allowing photos that were not taking by the member posting it. if im wrong, let me know and i will post the photo so you dont have to follow a link.

EDIT:

i wanna make it clear, i wont really be using it for anything. its just to have. on the wall maybe?

its not to use. at least i wont be using it. like i said, its just for looks. lol

i will edit OP to make that more clear

Do not waste your money. 90% chance it will turn out to be a worthless wall-hanger.

so does the little knife fit into the cutout on the big knife....?

....how does it stay in...?

Folks, he's already spent his money. Many of us did things like this when we started out and eventually learned to save up for better instead of jumping at more.

Hope you enjoy it. Of late, I have been favoring the Condor Golok for using. I'm not into tacti-cool stuff at all and much of it is junk.

As to what HSO said, I have bought stuff that I later just dumped in a box never to even consider using. Experimenting is part of life. So experiment away and enjoy.

I have to admit that I have almost bought one of the Rambo knives more than a couple times. What can I say?

It does come with a nice bottle opener on the spine, at least you're never going to lose it!

Like i said. Its not for use. I just liked it.

If yall have read my other posts on here you know do my research if its something for use.

Yes the throwing knife fits in the machete. Ima keep it there for display. Again. Just like the way it looked. Ots gonna be the only "tacticool" thing i got. Lol. Like i said, i normally dont like that kind of stuff.

Someone mentioned bottle opener...

Would be amusing to pull out a 27" blade to pop open a smithwicks at a party. Lol. But im not gonna do it. Lol.

I like the shape of the machete. I think I'll try grinding/shaping that profile in my shop. (without the little knife cut-out and the bottle opener & saw.) Been needing a new project.

That is a Chinese sword designed on an old Chinese martial art sword.
The smaller knife is a thrower. The red ribbons on the end are there by design. When the sword is employed by the user, the red ribbon flows through the air and is to visually distract the opponent.

FYI enjoy it

Teej, thanks for the post. Just now seeing it.

This sits on my desk with all my other stuff. I like it. I did get some gallon jugs of water to see what would happen. Was fun. Cut them in half every time. The bottom of the jugs never moved. Havent used it past that and probably never will.

The throwing knife however does not actualy fit in the blade. Close but no cigar. This purchase was very different for me. Not like me at all, but i have no complaints.
