Tanfoglio, not CZ, has been winning the matches al over the world.

Is this true? I know the CZ shooting team has done very well for itself, but I would be interested to learn more about the Tanfoglio shooters. I dont follow international shooting much.

Angus Hobell, Matt Mink, and Adam Tyc have all won plenty of matches.

Both CZ and Tanfoglio win plenty of matches.

CZ beat Team Glock a few times recently. :) I knew a guy who used to shoot for team Tanfolgio, good shooters. I've also seen Angus trophies/medals displayed in his shop, he's won just a few...hundred, I'd say. :D
Nice looking pistol, had several Witness pistols over the years, good solid guns.

ok this got me thinking.

We all know "its the Indian not the arrow".

So lets say Team CZ and Team GLOCK are facing off, at the point that all the Indians are REALLY good, at some point it becomes the arrow yes?

I find the witness bigger and clunkier than the CZs, but I would not turn own down in 10mm thats for sure.

Tanfoglio's top shooter is Eric Grauffel

CZ's are very nice guns indeed. Just that Tanfoglio took a virtually perfect design, and applied it in ways that CZ should have.

Probably because they're all large frame now, closer to the CZ-97 than the 75. They don't just feel larger; they are larger.

....and the point of a 10mm target pistol would be??

The point of using a 10mm target pistol is that it has a very flat trajectory therefore making it a very accurate round.

And, as previously stated.... awesomeness. (Best answer ever BTW)

I've got the elite match .45. For under 600 bucks ya' can't beat 'em.

I've had, and currently own, both. I like my CZ's and my Witnesses; they're only cousins, though, at this point. Tanfoglio has made enough improvements (like the FP stop, getting away from roll pins, etc.) that they're no longer any sort of 'clone' of a CZ.

Of course, there are people who would tell someone with a Wilson or Baer not to buy a copy, right? :)

I was thinking of getting the 10mm witness elite limited but I don't plan on using a scope so the holes on the limited would just be dirt collectors. I think this new pro would be a good combo of a target pistol and a carry gun in 10mm.

Get it.

My shooting buddy has one and raves about it. I have a 38 super elite and put 800 rnds down it today. Love it. Really nice gun. He has two elite 9mms and I really enjoy them also.

A 10mm elite witness is on the short queue for me to buy!

The flatter trajectory offered by the 10mm over the .40 S&W does not affect accuracy at pistol ranges.

In European pistol matches, if they tie in regulation, do they have some sort of free shot shoot off like in soccer?
