I went to the LGS to trade... I think it was my spare Kel-Tec P3AT... towards a very nice Llama revolver the owner had.
Well, I was a day late and a dollar short. He chuckled gleefully when I asked for it: He'd sold it the day before. I was a very sad panda. Then he said, "Well, do you have a 45acp Charter Arms Pit Bull?" The trigger was nice and it was pretty new, so it went home with me. Yeah, he knows what I like.
I took it to the range a couple of days later and shot a few cylinders through it. It shot fine, but after firing 15 rounds, the cylinder would no longer swing open. I emailed Charter Arms. They were very nice. I shipped it to them, and they fixed it for free and shipped it back to me. I'll find out tomorrow morning if it's fixed or not.
The trigger is nice. The little spring-loaded thingies that hold the shells are a clever idea. I already had the 44 special version. They feel about the same, though maybe the 45 has a tiny bit more recoil. Neither one of them has recoil that bothers me, but the 44 made my tender-handed friend whine recently, so maybe he will shed a tear when he shoots the 45.
