New to me G20

I must admit I am a huge 10 mm fan. I own nine different firearms in this caliber. Included in these are the Glock 20, Glock 40, a revolver that uses moon clips and an AR That uses Glock magazines.

Fortunately I do reload so I have lots of fun shooting everything from wimpy to full bore loads.

I do have a few slower lead loads with unique. There are better powders for 10mm and 44 mag, IMO but unique is just so versatile that I just buy 8 lb jugs and use it a lot in different calibers even though it may not be optimal. Works great for plinking

I like serpa holsters as well.

The 20 is my favorite Glock pistol, it just shoots great. Congrats!

Fair enough Sir. You are not alone. I remain skeptical of the detractors. Of course keeping one's finger off the trigger until the barrel is addressing the target is very important but the holster design seems solid to me and I have been happily using them for several years.

I too think the Serpa holster with the Glock platform is a possible danger, especially when reholstering. I personally know of two incidents with that combo, one into the dirt and one grazing a leg !

Pretty much. If you have Varget and Unique you can load anything. Maybe not optional in some. Maybe not the best metering. But very versatile powders.

I have a 180 grain cast load I use with unique powder. My main 180 and 200 grain loads are bluedot.

A 20/29 is on my short list. We all invent needs for a new gun, but i can see the 10mm Glock as a great compromise for walking in the wilds when one wants firepower on their hip. Lots of thump when you need it.

A few years back. was planning a camping trip with DW & SIL. There was the "possibility" of black bear and mountain lion encounter. Picked up a gen 3 20SF. Brought it home & DW of course wants to know why. Well bear & mountain lion I say. She comes back with " You have two gun safes full of guns. Isn't there something in there that will work?" I could only tell her "Trust me, we need this one." Once she saw the mountain lion display in the visitor center & all the signs along the trails, about how to deal with bear & lion, she was happy I had it.

OP, I think you will love your G20.
