Picked up a Yugo M48B last weekend.

Fired Yugo 196gr 1952 surplus and some mixed brass case with no malfunctions. The steel case crap Rommy ammo (only Romanians could make 8mm Mauser ammo that jams a bolt action rifle) was too sticky to load from the strippers and several rounds were hard to chamber.

The sights were close to zeroed. Elevation was pretty close, as I was hitting about 5" high at 100 yards with rear sight set to '2'. Windage was about 4" off at 100 yards. As it turns out, you CAN use a AK windage adjuster to adjust windage on a M48 Mauser.Groups were in the 4MOA area but conditions weren't ideal what with the rain and wins.

Metal on mine is cherry with very minimal wear to the high spots. Bore has just a little frosting but the crown is nice. The wood is dry and rough. I'm planning on sanding it down and refinishing it with tung oil. BSW
