I had been looking for months for the right P220 to come along. I wanted one of the older, non-railed, stamped slide pistols. The trouble with that is finding one that's in good shape.

I found this one on gunbroker and got it into my hands for a little over 500. The finish is in pretty good shape, it has some slight speckling of rust on the front part of the slide, on the side that was touching the foam of the case it was in. I could probably get it off, but it's so slight I'm not going to bother. The slide and barrel fit are good and tight, and the rifling is crisp. I haven't shot it yet but I'm sure it's going to be accurate. It came with the original box, manual, and two magazines.

Nice, I like the pre-rail guns better myself. And I think wear on a SIG actually looks good and gives it a real world gun quality. Nice buy!

Here's my pre-rail 226 .40 S&W:

The 220 .45ACP is good firearm the only ones I would avoid is single stack ones chambered for the
9x19 cartridge.

That's a nice find. I got an older 220 just like that years back and traded it off like a dummy.

I used to think the stamped slide would make the gun feel "cheap" but this was so not true.

Was a very well made Sig. I still keep my eyes open for another. Nice one!
