I've been looking to get a smaller firearm for CCW. The 92FS and the .44 mag are a bit obvious whenever the temp is above 55 degrees. ;)

Found a very lightly used SW 640 at a local pawn shop. You can barely see the score around the cylinder, it's been fired that little. It wasn't an amazing deal, but I think it was a fair price at $475 (before taxes) with a box of Golden Sabre thrown in.

Going to the range in the morning to try it out. Does anyone have advice for this firearm? Also, would like to get an IWB holster. Any that also hold a speed loader?

Thanks for any advice. Take care.

If that M640 is a .357 Magnum that's not a bad price. If it's an older one that's in .38 Special that's too high a price.

I'm a big fan of the M640 and I own one in .357 Magnum. When I'm not carrying an Airweight I carry the M640.
My M640 shoots best with 145gr Winchester Silvertip .357 Magnum ammo.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, it's the .357 flavor. Nice grips! What brand of speed strips do you use?
