Howdy y'all. So my wife and I have recently moved to the Tri-cities area in Washington state. Kennewick to be specific. And I'm hoping to bump into someone who would know of places to go skeet shooting or plinking. Thank you in advance for any info. Have a good one y'all. :D

What brings you to the Tri Cities? I am originally from the Touchet/Walla Walla area but am currently up in Spokane.

I was in Kennewick just this last summer, they have a great range outside of Richland, they have a 1000 yd range, cowboy action, covered 100 yard range, black powder, and trap, may have a few others their also, very nice place to shoot, Fishing is great there also, caught a 9.2 foot sturgeon while there, not at the range though. Some very good shooters there.

That is correct, the sturgeon fishing is great. Also the mule deer around here are very good sized. Strange thing right now is that it is snowing.... This is a certifiable desert and it is snowing.

Partly to get away from family, partly to start and finish school at WSU. And theres a better job market here than in RExburg, ID LOL. Koginam, do you remember the name of the range by chance. I'll have to ask around and see if I can't hunt it down. There is an indoor range run by a "mom and pop" shop across the street from our apartment, but its hand guns and .22lr only. however, its only $6 for a lane and $6 to rent a gun!

IronHawk,

SASS#23149 has it right. Go to Rattlesnake range and enjoy.

Memberships are (or were) $35/year, may have gone up $5, but well worth it. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and some Wednesdays. They have volunteer ROs on site, and plenty of room to shoot most any time except when hunting season is gearing up. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable folks there who helped me a bunch when I got out here. I will miss that range immensely when I leave at the end of the month, not to mention the wonderful summer weather.

My suggestion is skip Hole in the Wall in Kennewick unless you just have to shoot in a driving wind/rainstorm. If you're looking for an FFL, I know a couple of reputable, pleasant folks to deal with in Richland and Kennewick and can refer you.

I'm so jealous! We used to live in Richland until I got laid off from WNP-2 (oops, I mean Columbia Generating Station). We still miss the place.

I did visit the Rattlesnake range a couple of times - it's a great place. Being more into bullseye competition, I belonged to the Pasco Rifle & Pistol Club and also the Spokane Rifle Club.
