I'm moving to WA state in August, Richland/Kennewick/Pasco area. I know of one public range, indoors in Kennewick, although the name escapes me at the moment. Anyone have suggestions on another? The research I've done says I'm going to have to drive several hours to find a public range with more than a 100 yard line.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Rattlesnake Mountain, just a few miles from Kenniwick, has everything you might want, from pistol ranges to a 1000-yard rifle range. I don't live there but I traveled up there once for a long-range match. The facilities are quite impressive, though I didn't see any target trollys at the pistol range.

Woo, nice

Much thanks, oldfart. I had heard mention of Rattlesnake Mountain, but didn't find info on it until you posted that link. That's what I was looking for.

Arrgh! I'm jealous. I've lived in the Tri-Cities twice, 1975-1979 and 1994-1997. Kennewick the first time and Richland the second. Worked for Energy Northwest. My wife and I absolutely loved in there and may yet get back someday.

Not into rifles much, but I did belong to the Pasco Rifle & Pistol Club (50-ft indoor range) and the Spokane Rifle Club (several ranges).

md2lgyk, I interviewed for a job out there last year, when I was living in North Carolina. Tried to transition inside the company (Lockheed Martin). Didn't get that one, but on the strength of that interview, they cut me a deal. If I did their bidding in Cleveland for a year, I'd be considered for a position afterwards. They were true their word, even pulling me early. Now they're fighting over me, gotta love it.

Tri-Cities is very lovely, just keep it under your hat. ;)
