Just got a great deal on this used revolver yesterday.:neener:

I got to put some lead down range today and it might be my most
accurate handgun. :D Can't wait to drive some tacks tomorrow!

I agree with you. I also got min recently. Such a nice shooter and so good in the handling department. I 'd probably just smoothen the sharp corners on the back of the trigger.

I got one about 2 wks ago at Gander Mtn - a 3" 357mag. 350.00 The gunsmith there was going to buy it, but I beat him by 10 minutes! He said maybe 50 rounds went through it. Only drawback was no Ruger-branded plastic box. Poor me. How will i ever survive? ;) Shoots and carries like a dream. :)

I bought a SP 101 a little while back 2 1/4" barrel. I liked it so much I talked my mom into into one as her carry pistol. She got the 2 1/4" barrel with the bobbed hammer.
Very well built wheelgun.

Carried the 21/4" with C/T laser site and it was very accurate at 10yds. Once you get it tuned in your ready to go.

Congrats, great gun. I have the one with the spurless hammer. Can't say a bad thing about it.

I've been lurking here a while but this is my first post. Reading what's been posted here convinced me to get myself an SP101.

I picked it up this week and just got back from the range. All I can say is WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!. What a blast! I haven't had this much fun at the range in a long time. Put through 3 boxes of 357 158gr (Blazer, Ultramax and American Eagle). The Blazer and Ultramax were pretty controllable and mild recoiling but the American Eagle hurts! Can you say trigger slap?!!

I can't wait to go shoot it again.

Whiskey19, How did your revolver work with the Blazer ammo? Was it the non brass casing? .357 ammo is outrageous here and the Blazer seesm the most affordable. I am unsure how the aluminum case will work though.

I shot some WWB .38 special and UMC .357 yesterday and they went pretty well near i was aiming them. I also fired 5 rounds of Hydra-Shock 158 gr. and that ammo was incredible as far as feel and how the gun reacted to it. too bad it is near a dollar a round.

It is early in the game but this may be the one handgun i own that will never leave my possession. The others, well make me an offer, lol.

Hi IM283,

The Blazer worked fine. Not a hot load by any means. It's the aluminum cased stuff not the brass one. It seemed to shoot slightly below poa. Go to Wideners.com. It's like $9.95/box there. Best prices I've seen anywhere.

I also have the hogue grip and I put in one of those Wolff springs. It's the 10# spring and it greatly reduces the trigger pull.

This is gonna be a keeper!

I've put all 5 in one ragged hole at 15 feet using the blazer 158 stuff.

I've got a couple sp101's. Both are the shorter barrel. One's DAO, the other is SA/DA. The DAO has over 70,000 rounds now.

You bought a good gun. Enjoy it.
