Well I was on my way to replace my model 60 22LR when I decided to stop at the localy owned gun store before I went to Wal-mart, they did not have a model 60 but they did have a Savage Stevens 987 in really good shape. They had a $299 price tag on it when I handed the salesman the rifle back he smiled and asked me to make an offer. I just grinned and told him I would take it for $100 even. Deal
Anyway I have owned several savages over the last 20 years, but I have no experence with this model, has anyone owned one of these and what are your impressions of them? It looks very much like a Model 60 and there is no rust on it anywhere+ there are only minor scratches in the wood stock.
