Going to be announced at the Shot Show. New US Distributor is Kaltron-Pettibone in Illinois.

Kaltron's website is

Kaltron-Pettibone

At the bottom of Kaltron's home page is a link to thier new Lapua and Vihta webpage/online store, but this link will take you straight to it:

vihtavuori-lapua

They are going to have an online store, but it won't be up until announced officially at the Shot Show in Orlando.

At the second link, they have an online form to fill out, offering a free reloading manual. Don't know if they mean the book, or the online .pdf version, (which is available for download at Lapua .

In any case, I asked Kaltron for a list of local retail dist. near me, and they sent the whole US list, as an excel spreadsheet. I cant attach that to this, but if you're interested, PM me and I can e-mail it. Kaltron's rep said it was not only ok, but they would appreciate me passing it around. (No kidding). ;)

The person who contacted me from Kaltron, Jeannie Bolda, got this back to me in less than a day. Pretty quick, I think. For anyone who uses Lapua/Vihta components, etc., it looks like (so far) a company that is going to provide excellent customer service.

I happen to like these products, among others. Costs more, but they have great quality and consistency. (And, dang it, I'm not getting jack for saying that).:D

Edited to add:

Just went to the bottom of the spreadsheet. It has the Canadian Distributors as well.

Geat news on the new disti for VV powders; hopefully this means these great products will be more readily available. I've had 8# of 320 on order for too darn long!

I prefer to use VV 320 (45ACP), 340 (light 44Mag), 110 (heavy 44Mag) and N133 (223) and as soon as I run out of H4350, I'll look for a suitable VV replacement to load my 30-06.

bogie,

Uh... I thought that those folks HAVE BEEN the distributor? For some time?

You're probably correct. The impression I got from Kaltron's web site was that it was new, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. I have doped around the web for a few years buying Lapua stuff, and I can't remember seeing them before, but after so many web sites, who the heck knows? Maybe they are just announcing the (a new) online store.
