Just thought that I would let everyone know that the new Vibra primes are in stock at Midway. I put one on backorder a week or so ago and the expected ship date was sometime in June but I got an email a few minutes ago saying mine had shipped. I have never used one but thought it would be better than filling the tubes by hand.

Wow, I called them and asked them to come out with another version of it about 2 yrs ago. I like to see a good product return!!

I'm a bit skeptical.
How many times does the primer get loaded upside down?
Seeing you use with a progressive press, you don't see the primer until the round is finished.

I ordered some and had an old one that I sold after they discontinued them and folks were paying $150 or more for them.

None of them flipp primers but the new ones sure seem to have more problems with primers hanging up at the point that they drop into the tube.

That's truly nonsensical. You see every primer as it's fed into the primer tube by the Vibra-Prime. When would it flip over? I've loaded a couple-hundred thousand rounds with the services of a Vibra-Prime. Got two more on backorder from Graf's. Strange that Graf's price is so much better than Midway's!! BTW, Midway's so-called dealer account is worthless.

My LGS had 3 of these today. I want to say they were like $54.99.

Just got mine the other day, and used it today for the first time.
I was not used to it, I think it would have been faster using my dillon rf 100.

Two questions please:

1- What is the difference between the old model and the new model?

2- Why did they stop production of the old model?

(1) I don't know.

(2) I thought for a long time that Dillon probably bought the rights to the Vibra-Prime, so people would spend big bucks on their much more expensive machine. Now that theory's shot, or maybe Dillon just bought the rights for a specific period?

To use the Vibra-Prime: Run a brass cleaning brush through the tubes; chamfer the mouths of the tubes slightly, after having removed those plastic bayonet connectors. Hold the tube firmly into the machine and rock the machine fore-and-aft, tilting slightly to the right. Use short trigger bursts.

The point of the Dillon is to multi task. So you load another 20 rounds while it is filling your primer tube. That is how you cut 20% off your reloading time, if you stop while it refills, it is no better than another method.

I had the dillon. Im a big dillon fan but that thing was a total pos. Its the only thing i ever sent back to dillon and wanted my money back. That was after shelling out shipping cost twice to send it in for them to get it running right and comming back working not a bit better. the 50 dollar vibra prime is not only 6 times cheaper but works better to boot.

Friend of mine is loading commercially. He uses four 1050s and a 650, but absolutely hates the Dillon primer tube filler.

The POINT of using the Vibra-Prime is to load up a bunch of tubes ahead of time, then start pulling the handle. ;)

I got mine last week and loaded up 25 Dillon tubes this weekend while I watched a movie with the kids.
