Hey everyone just thought I'd introduce myself. Bought an old Ithaca 37 a couple days ago and was doing some searching on the gun and came to a thread on this forum. Read all 27 pages of the Ithaca 37 questions thread! As far as I can tell my 37 with a serial number of 904167 was built in 1965. I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that. Havn't shot it yet but it appears to be a very nice little gun! It's in near perfect shape with zero defects to the bluing and only a few very light scratches to the stock and only paid $175 bucks for it! :) And that's including the nearly 250 shells I recieved with it as well! Here's a picture along with a picture of the rest of my arsenal (note: My savage synthetic .300mag is missing)

Don't know where you are in Canada, but Ron Sharp (Dunnville ON) is an Ithaca expert gunsmith (former employee / dealer I think) and has lots of parts last time I spoke to him.

PM me if you need further info.

Thanks John, I'm actually in Saskatchewan so I think it's a little far. But I've already talked to my gunsmith that I use here and he said that anything I need shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the info though.

I in-effect spent more'n twice as much for my 1978 and it is only half as pretty and may have a crack in the wrist!

OK , I have a short story about a 37. We are in the feild between hunting and the "stuff" talking starts between my two friends about which gun would fire 3 rounds faster.......ithach 37 verses a browning b-80 semi auto. I had no dog in this hunt, I was a judge only. no targets, just rip them asap. the 37 was atleast a 1/4 - 1/2 second FASTER than the b-80! We tryed this more than once and the result was the same. that 37 was like lighting in it's action! I will sware its the fastest acting pump ever made. And faster than many semi auto's if you think fast is important. I was more fasinated by the speed than conserned about weather it was better shotgun for hunting. anyway, a story I have told for many, many years. my .02cents!
37's are great shotguns, IMO.

Gotta love the Ithaca 37's!

I have a pretty good collection of them in all different configurations and always look for more.

Congrats on the purchase!

I have a little collection of 37s myself!

I want a full magtube police model, an english stock model and a solid rib model to round out my collection...
