I've been seeing a lot of guns that I would like to buy online, but I'm a little hesitant/confused about this FFL transfer thing. When I buy online, I pay for the gun and give the shipping address to a FFL holder. Then they send the gun to the ffl holder when he keeps my gun until I pay him a fee? Has anyone ever got burned by doing this? Is it logical to use a FFL holder who also has a store? Any tips to make it go smooth? TIA guys.

Hi Finch - you're from LV also eh? We should get together!

I've bought a few guns online since I lived here, and one problem was finding a FFL who'd take a shipment from an individual rather than another FFL. Floyd at Masters Shooter's Supply does this so I go through him. Just have your shipper send it to him and he'll do the transfer.

The most dangerous part is sending alot of money to someone you don't know for a gun you hope is real and in good shape. The FFL part is a piece of cake. :)
