Rural FFL transfers

The OP's situation is just one reason why I've never considered a FFL Joe Blow operating out of their house.

It's only a couple dollars more to deal with a reputable FFL that I know.

This is also the same issue I have with getting a FFL and doing anything but getting guns for myself. I don't want strangers coming around my place for gun related things.
"Reputable" has nothing to do with whether an FFL operates his business from home or from a storefront. ;)

The usps supposedly tried to deliver but didnt try hard as my ffl and kids were home at the time. They went and grabbed it at the post office saturday. They came thru for me.

Looks like you're not too far out of Dayton OH, maybe bite the bullet and find a decent shop there. Extra drive might be worth not having the headaches you've encountered.

I'm curious about where the OP has looked for FFL's. The site I posted in the first response listed 16 FFL's within 10 miles of Eaton, which is the county seat of Preble, the OP's county. I just expanded the search area to 25 miles and there are two hundred dealers listed within that distance. http://fflgundealers.net/search_results.php?location=45320&zip_miles=25&submit=Search+FFLs
