I carry CCW everyday, as we all should when legal. While my favorite method is IWB, usually in a Alessi/Burns GWH like the one in this photo....
Like in the photo, I prefer the a 1911 format pistol, and vary between a LW WILSON STEALTH and a couple of different full size 5" guns. Sometimes, especially during the winter or times when I pln to spend a great deal of time in a car, I use a shoulder rig. In the past, my favorite has been the GALCO Miami Classic shown here with a heretic SIG...
Now I have settled on both of these holsters for CCW after YEARS of trying holsters. Carrying a fighting handgun, while going about your daily business, isn't easy, comfortable, or fun. This is incentive to keep tying new rigs.....
Well, I'm in the knife biz, and always looking at new sheath makers, particulary Kydex guys of late. I meet Robert Hummelbaugh of SURVIVAL SHEATH SYSTEMS....

This rig is lighter than the GLACO, and best of all, the holster and pouches and pressure molded to hold the gun/mags....NO SPAPS. Both the holster and the dual mag pouch have adjustable retention screws, and I'm telling ya....that 1911 ain't coming out until you want it, and then, just give it a yank! The shoulder harness is infinetly adjustable with velcro and buckles. Here is a pic....
With the MIAMI CLASSIC, if your holster accidently came unsnapped, your pistol would fall out since the pistol is basically butt down, barrel up! With the Survival Sheath rig, the molded Kydex gives me a MUCH better sense of security.
I've been wearing this rig around the hot and humid south for the last few days. I've just worn a T shirt, with the holster over it, and a loose COLUMBIA short sleeve fishing shirt[unbuttoned] over the holster. I stopped by my favorite gunshop today,a nd my buddy behind the counter, who usually makes a game of what and where I'm carrying, watched me for 20 minutes, and declared me "clean". I then pulled back my open shirt, and exposed a .45 and 2 spare mags! He was astounded.
The other neat thing about survival sheath is that they custom make everything.....want your off side pouch to hold 1 spare mag and a surefire,....no problem. How about a folding knife, cuffs, pepper spray, multitool, whatever you want!
Check out Robert's site, drop him a line. He does good, well thought out work!
