Is that a typo and what you're looking for are comments on the Beretta NEOS .22 pistol?

yeah its a typo i just got an i phone and im not the most proficint at typing on it.. comments negative or good

Not a huge fan of the Neos. The out-of the box trigger is pretty terrible, and the grip is so tiny as to be almost un-hold-able by human hands.

For about $50 more, the Ruger Mark III or Browning Buck Mark are vastly better options.

My wife and daughter love it. Haven't mounted anything on the rail yet. It does seem to eat any ammo which i thought was unusual for a bottom fed rimfire.

I disagree....I have very skinny hands and so does my wife....we looked at the S&W offerings including the 41 and they are just too fat for the both of us. The P22 is nice, but everyone has one and I have to be a little different.

I have found the trigger on mine to be clean and crisp.....it is also so easy to mount an optic on.

I also own a pre-woodsman, and a Ruger mkII....all have the same thing in common...they are thin.

The carbine kit is intresting....a little spendy at around $200 or so, but I think I am going to have to get one.

And what about the new Ruger SR22? It comes with two interchangeable grips, a thin grip and a fat grip.

I have had one for a couple of years now and I really like it. The grip is perfect for me as I have small hands and with the way it's contoured it gives the gun a very good center of balance. The trigger is okay; not the greatest but still very serviceable. Factory sights are fine and I have mounted a red dot on the barrel rib just to try something different. Magazines are relatively inexpensive, well made, and easy to load. Reliability and accuracy have likewise been very good as well. Overall I am very satisfied with the Beretta Neos.

I really don't care about grip or grip angle, can shoot about anything. The Ruger came with two grip sleeves and I tried 'em both. Given a choice, I picked the smaller grip sleeve. The fatter one angles the gun up a tad like an arched mainspring. The smaller one angles the gun very similar to my daily carry, a Kel Tec P11. I figured it'd be a might easier to pocket, too, with the smaller sleeve. It IS nice to have the choice and Ruger deserves kudos for the design.

BTW, for a small auto, the thing shoots 2" 25 yard groups benched with Federal bulk pack as is so reliable it's scary. I have not been shooting it that well off hand, have to concentrate. this has nothing to do with the grip, which I find comfortable. I'm not really sure why that is, but I'm working on it. I seem to shoot my little kit gun revolver a little better and the sight radius is actually about the same. Hmm, but gives me something to work on, I guess. :D One thing, the SR22 is very light and the little Rossi kit gun is all stainless, 28 or so ounces. Might be the weight difference that's bothering me, thinking that's the case. I just need to concentrate a might harder shooting the SR22. Practice, practice, practice.....:D

I have a neos and I like it. The grip is small but not too bad; this can be a good thing if your kids or wife will be shooting it. And as long as it's a little dirty it'll be rock-solid reliable. Mine has an insatiable appetite for Remington Golden Bullets.

Also, anybody else notice the flood of "best .22 auto" threads lately?

Shoot many; buy one. Lot of ranges rent guns and sell ammunition.

I received a Neos a couple of years ago as a gift. It cycles reliably but have to say that the trigger on mine is very rough. My Buckmark is much smoother and feels much better in my hands. If you're interested in a more traditional styled pistol the Ruger SR22 is a great choice. Mine has 4000 rounds through it sinch January and runs great.

I have a few 22 hand guns, the one I like the best is the woodsman....actually it is a pre-woodsman. Mags are hard to find and very spendy, and as it has not been upgraded I have to use sub sonic ammo in the thing....but it shoots so perfect.

personally, i like my neos.

the grip takes a bit to get used to, but isnt all that bad. the trigger, while not great, is still pretty good. i had a mark III previously and traded it for the neos about 3 years ago. i had a lot of jamming problems with the mark III, not so at all with the neos.

I shoot Bullseye with my Browning Buckmark, the guy who usually shoots just to my right is using a Neos. We traded pistols last Monday evening before the regular shoot started to compare guns. His groups shrank about 50% when he used my Buckmark and mine opened up quite a bit with his Neos. I didn't care for the grip angle and definitely didn't like the excessively heavy trigger which makes it a difficult pistol to be accurate in Bullseye where you have to shoot with one hand. A local gunsmith told him there isn't much he could do to lighten the trigger on the Neos. The guy is now looking for a Buckmark.

I also have the SR22 which isn't quite as accurate as the Buckmark but is a very good plinker. The SR eats everything I can find to feed it. My only grip with the little pistol is the trigger is a little heavy. Not all that bad but just a bit more than I'd prefer. It's still a fun pistol to shoot, very light which is nice.

The Ruger SR22: For when you want a gun that is almost exactly like the P22, but is uglier and has Ruger stamped on the side.

It should be stamped: Ruger, made in Prescott Arizona, with stolen designs from Walther.

Kinda like most of their other "original" designs. Like the Kel Te...I mean Ruger's LCP. Oh or the Kel Te...errr, Ruger LC9.

Yep, it does look like a copy. But to me a copy that is improved. I compared mine with a friend's Walther and we both agreed the Ruger had the best fit and finish. Even more so when we compared my LCP to his Kel Tec. When you get down to it they all are pretty much copies of Browning's work anyway.

I'm a steel plate shooter and with a red dot on my Neos I often feel like Jerry Miculek -- hitting the last plate while two or three others are still in the process of falling!

Love it, overall its the most reliable .22 pistol I have with cheap bulk pack ammo. My only complaints are the safety rotates the "wrong" way and its not very left hand friendly -- I generally do about 25% of my shooting left handed.

One of the best pistols if you want a red dot as the full length rail gives you lots of options to get the balance just right.
