i already have an AK clone, and two 10/22s. i have a bit of $ to spend with my tax returns and i can do one or the other. either a new WASR-10 project, or a 10/22 with the Archangel kit. opinions...?
this is at least what the rifle will resemble (surgery on the guts will be the big difference)
i'm going to be ditching the bayonet end and put a normal looking muzzle brake on the end. i just cant justify putting a knife at the end of a 22
the AK, if i choose that route instead, will feature some of this hardware:
samco 6-piece interchangable pistol grip
tapco muzzle break
leapers front handguard
and either project would be mounted with the vortex red dot
havent found the right AK style stock for this one yet, i want a side folder different from my current AK, and i find the AR style buttstocks on an AK just look stupid (for lack of a better term).
I would go with the AK --- you already have two 10/22s and the AK would be able to sell alot faster if you would need to.
Also , with a new BS Ban --- you would still be able to get another Ruger.
unfortunately i live in an apartment with no shop space, otherwise ii would actually consider it.
i am optimistic that there may not be a firearm ban in the near future, who knows?
i do see the bonus in having more than one AK, but i can only afford one firearm at present. the only reason i am swing more towards the 10/22 is i have been waiting for a similar receiver to the archangel build, something tough that makes the 10/22 an EBR. im not into that bullpup rinkydink frame thats already on the market. i felt one and it felt too much like a toy.
