NFA Picture Thread

I have eight, they cost about $40 each plus the $200 tax. Add in the $1600 I spent on tools just for making silencers and comes to a bit over $3500. I own my house and am a dozen years from retirement. Moving now is a bad idea.

I have been working to make silencers legal to use in WA for the last several years. The ony problem is that most gun owners in WA could not care less about silencer ownership or use, including most of the people on this forum.

I am making a silencer education video to send to my Reps in Olympia. I am also trying to make appointments to talk to Pedersen (House Judiciary chairman) and Finn (District 35) about bil 1604. I am also trying to get people to write to Pedersen about the bill (he claims I was the ony one to write), but it is a real uphill battle.

would love to get some education on making your own, along with your tool setup. I wasn't thinking so much about tax stamps as you've threaded a lot of bbls! I am in the process of having my first two NFA items, an SBR uzi and a coastal cans MIMS... Here in NC full auto can be difficult, but all the rest can be had easy enough. I would absolutely love to make my own, and of all NFA stuff, suppressors definitely seem the most useful. I'll edit to post my toys as soon as the stamps come back, hoping any day now!

The best place to go for info on making silencers is http://www.silencertalk.com . You will need a lathe to do good work on threading barrels. I use a tap and die for any threads under an inch, but the die is held in a chuck to ensure it stays straight.

SharpsDressedMan does, however, FAR outdo me in style. That photograph is just amazing.

RE: M79 It's my brother's gun, a real M79 that was re-classified as a Form 1 shotgun, then re-classified back to a DD (*or something like that....I'm no NFA expert, but it is papered, and 40mm again.) He has all kinds of gas, behive, buckshot, flares, etc. He also loads the talcum powder blue tips with .38 S&W blanks in the tail. It is fun to shoot. He also has a "shortie" barrel for it, but I think it is loaned out, so I may not be able to get a photo of it. Nowadays, it might be cheaper to shoot than the .50BMG, with reloaded 40mm practice rounds.
