Picked this up this morning and took it for a test run this afternoon. Color case, big loop, ladder rear sight, 20" blued barrel. No scratches or nicks in it. Appears to be little or no wear on the internals. Pulled a few patches through the barrel and the bore looks great.
No fancy pics yet but I took it to the range for a function check and some 25yd elbows on the bench and offhand shooting. Very fun to shoot and I like the top eject. Once I figured out the sights I shot 2 pretty nice groups.

Every time I shoot a lever action 45 I like them more.

Nice looking rifle. I have a Miroku made Browning B-92 (carbine), a Miroku Winchester 1892 takedown rifle, and a Rossi R92. I've never seen a Chiappa made 1892 and have always been curious about the quality of their product and how they compare to the Rossi and Miroku versions.

Any more advanced photos, close-ups, and especially photos showing the internal workings would be much appreciated! ;)

Meanwhile, Chuck Connors and John Wayne are both jealous.:D

When I looked into Chiappa guns I was suprised what they go for. I hope the discount for being pre-owned was significant. I can say with certainty that the Rhino I had was a very very well built gun and I would hope the rifles are as well. Do your best to break it so that you can tell us how many thousands of rounds it took.

I did some trading to get this. 'Perceived value' rules the day with trades and from that perspective I got a good deal and pretty sure the other party feels the same.
This is my 3rd Chiappa product. So far they seem to be high quality. Wish I would have kept the 2 Rhino's. I hope to find another 30DS Rhino one of these days.

Whew! That’s a real sweet looking rifle you have there, sir!

Looking forward to reading and seeing how it shoots for you when you get a chance to stretch it’s legs out at the range :) .

Stay safe.
Thanks.
Part of the appeal of this particular rifle is the ladder rear sight. I should be able to try it out to 200yds sometime next month.

Those are some very nice photos and do a great job of showing off some of the detail I was interested in. I guess I'd have to say Chiappa quality is very likely right up there with Uberti .... and even Miroku. I think your Chiappa's case hardening is certainly superior to Uberti color case hardening.

Thank you for posting those photos, they were certainly worth your efforts!!!! ;):)

"Everytime I shoot a lever action .45 I like them more." You ain't kidding. My .45 Colt rifle is a Henry and it's my favorite lever gun to shoot. Right along with my two .45 Colt Italian replica revolvers.

My other 45colt rifle is a Henry. Have had it for quite some time and it's the reason I bought this one.
