I have a shot at either a NIB 1st Gen Colt CCO for $750 or a Colt Gunsite CCO with 100 rounds of WWB through it for $1025. Which would you go for? I'm trying to make a decision tonight so I can start the paperwork tomorrow.
Poor you - . All things being equal, I'd go for the 1st-Gen. Colt. I LOVE CCO's and think they're the best proportioned 1911 ever. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with either but a true 1st generation Colt is something you don't come across every day.
I have a Colt CCO Lightweight that I'm very pleased with. Fantastic carry gun. I figured that the Gunsite CCO would be even better so I purchased one.
What a mistake. The quality of the Gunsite CCO was, at best, poor in comparison to the Colt. The Colt was far better in every respect. Needless to say, I sold the Gunsite CCO and still carry the Colt CCO everyday.
