Bought a new in the box model 37 NO DASH s&w today and was looking at some other guns and was thinking about the model 30 s&w new in the box I saw also. Do not have one of those and do not see them to often so what do you think?

Everyone should enjoy the sheer fun of shooting a .32 S&W Long revolver.

Then again . . . I'd purchase NIB, vintage S&W revolvers to be safe queens only. There aren't that many new ones out there and BANG once ya shoot 'em they ain't NEW anymore.

Instead of spoiling the NIB one, I'd buy it AND start looking for a nice "shooter" grade Model 30 or 31 to have fun with . . . or their pre-model number version, the Model 1903 and Official Police respectively.

I foolishly sold my shooter grade M30 to buy a mint 1964 Model 36 square latch/diamond stock revolver . . . and recently replaced that missing .32 with a Model 1903. What a smooth action this vintage revolver has. A sweet shooter indeed!!!

BTW, congratulations on you find of those new revolvers!

Just as a warning on your Mod. 37. Don't fire +P ammo in it. It will eventually split the cylinder. Mine was made in the early 60's and shoots great and recoil is strong enough with regular ammo.
