I can remember seeing an ASP and a Devel at a gun collectors show many years ago. The ASP was certainly different with it's "trough" sighting system but I liked the more conventional sights on the Devel Mod 39.

The ASP Guttersnipe sight was designed to be used with the Quell stance which accessed the subconscious to balance the yellow panels. The Devels was targeted more to the more mainstream shooters who clung to the more common sighting system

The Guttersnipe was amazingly fast and accurate once you figured out how it was designed to be used. It was designed, as was the smooth exterior of the gun, to be used under stress as opposed to plinking at targets

They are pretty sweet. I kind of wanted to do something similar. Mostly the clear grips. But finding older smith autos is getting harder. Never you mind the shield is prolly better all the way around. But this has soul.
