Well, long story short I had put in for a Norinco Trenchgun on September 10th, finally got it after a near constant "Check back in a few days". Fit and finish is much nicer then I thought it was going to be, wood is pretty good, action is stiff as a board but I figure between taking it apart a little and cleaning and working the action it'll loosen up a bit. When I ordered it he quoted me at $380. I'd seen them for around there on Gunbroker so I just went with it. Don't know if it was an error on their part (Guy I ordered from wasn't in when I picked it up) but got it for $270 after tax. So I was happy, after a wait that would have killed Ralphie in "a Christmas Carol" I finally had the shotgun I'd been wanting for a long time, probably since I was about 12 years old. Don't know what it is about this shotgun, the lines, the heat shield, the sound...

I was on my way home and stopped at another shop on the way that sells reloading supplies. I'd been looking for some primers and each time I would check Midway they were sold out. BS'ing with the shop owner and he said he had some behind the counter. Winchester Primers. Box of 1,000 for $12.95 After seeing some of the prices at other places I'm tempted to go back and buy 4 more boxes lol. All said and done I just got in from the backyard, just made some cast lead bullets and finished loading up a few rounds for my 1884 Springfield Trapdoor. Still can't wait to shoot it. Now I think I'll fire up the smoker and cook this rack of ribs I've had marinating. Day like today almost makes up for the fact that I had the day off but don't get paid lol
