I have a GREAT light from SIG that fits on the gun, and which I keep on the gun when it's in the safe and available for home defense. It has a light, a strobe, and an independent laser. The strobe is EXTREMELY disorienting for anyone, especially someone in the dark, who happens to stare at it even for a small moment. I absolutely would NOT shoot at someone in the dark who cannot be identified unless they are actually shooting themselves.
As an update, it happens that my P220 Sport has "special" sights which are higher than normal, and as such, Trijicon has no solution for sighting. Currently, the gun is in the possession of a local gunsmith who is investigating either engineering a solution by drilling and placing tritium into the existing sights, or finding a set of night sights that'll work with my gun. Will let you all know what happens.
